Welcome everyone...this the last installment in this series. Received a great response to this series. Tae Kwon do is the finishing touch. This one Martial Art ties it all together. Mind set, brain signals to select muscles, balance, focus, posture, technique. Discipline in functional body movement. 30 min. stretching as warm up for this 30 min. drill. Go...jump and land with one leg 2-3 feet in front of the other. Keep going for 10 yds. Now backwards for 5 yds. Now glide each foot forward (keeping glide foot on floor.) At same time punch with glide. Right foot glide, right hand punch. 5 sets. Starting position...feet 6-8 inches apart, elbows bent and fists waist high, palms up with fists against your body. Drill...left front snap kick, then right foot. Left, right side kick, left right back kick. Blocks...slide left foot few inches forward and raise left arm above head, elbow bent. .then right. Side block, elbow bent, fist shoulder height, left right. Low block...move left foot forward few inches, knee bent, left fist block with fist ending in front of knee. Alternate. X Training 3
Welcome everyone...Balance primarily is derived from the inner ear and nerve endings in our feet. X training breaks up the "training boredom" all of us go through. Also, develops brain power via muscle confusion. Routine enhances our "comfort zone." That comfort zone can become our worst enemy...downfall. The mental aspect is critical in peak performance. I began training in Martial Arts...Taewondo in 1991. Wanted to develop mental toughness and succeeded in doing that. Act and React with purpose. Just doing a few basics...front snap kick, side arm side block, overhead block, leg side kick, arm low block. All inclusive of full body motion. Forces the brain to stimulate multiple muscle groups at the same time and in prep for your next move. "Profiles in leadership" at www.secondwindfitnessfilm.com Jimmy O

GET UP
Welcome everyone...most of us demand more endurance in our workouts and competitive events. Well, try this...Wheat Grass! Liquid if you can get it, if not then capsules. Wheat Grass is high in
chlorophyll which produces oxygen. More oxygen into the blood
stream. I also use ginger root and garlic...all natural. My new workout...SNAPIT. Fast, quick and exhausting for best results. All
drills, 30 sec. each. Select seven/eight drills. Total workout time, 60 minutes. My selection...jump rope, cone drill, jumping jacks, push ups, stairs, push the 2x4, 8 lb. wt. squat and jump holding wt. over head, skip forward and backward. Rotate and repeat.

Snap, Crackle, Pop
Hello and welcome everyone...the "dog days" are here. Seasons
change 4 times a year. This change affects most of us...we tend to
feel down and lack that snap. Now is the time to call upon our mental toughness that we have worked on all year. Go back to the
basics of your training...the fundamentals. Concentrate on your
foundation. Time to incorporate something new. For me, some long
distance running for the next 30 days. Am writing out my program
for the next 90 days. Setting new goals, raising the bar and visualizing myself already being there. Give yourself a pep talk and
look into the mirror. What do you see?! Who do you see?! See you
at the finish line!

30%
Hello and welcome everyone! Water and stretching needed...urgent. Hot and humid weather can be the curse for all competitors. Muscles can lose as much as 30% of power or capacity in humid weather. So many athletes skip stretching in hot weather...we should be stretching more often and drinking more water...not less. I see more muscle pulls during hot weather than at any other time. Stretch before, during and after events and consume more water during these periods. Precaution takes less time than rehab...be smart.
