Welcome everyone...take a walk...a healthy walk. Most walkers/joggers find a concrete path. In my dictionary, stay away from concrete and treadmills. Your knees, hips and ankles will sooner or later show the terrible results. Many doctors are directing
people of all ages to walk/run on a soft path, in woods, a beach or sand dunes, or a track. Some trainers are leading the way and running barefoot on blacktop. Every Sunday I walk for an hour. Uphill, downhill and flat. Before and after I invest 5 min. rotating my knees and hips and ankles...5 min. each. At home or my office, I walk around in my stocking feet...I put shoes on when company arrives. Shoes are restrictive. We need to activate the nerve endings in our feet. www.secondwindfitnessfilm.com

ROPE & WATER
Welcome everyone...muscle confusion. Yes! From sprinting in water depths of one to three feet of water. At one foot you are forced to bring your knees up so you bring each foot out of the water in your strides. Great for knees and hips. Try about three feet of water, sprint, keeping feet in water or knee deep. Great for squads strength. Also, don't forget water aerobics. Rope. 20 to 30 feet in length...after knots are made. Fix one end of rope to tree limb or any other object. Remember, as you climb, all your weight is on the rope. Knot should be about 3 feet apart. Use both hands and feet to climb. Alternate to hands only or feet only. Go slow in descending. All the above...great for conditioning and endurance.

Over 2000
Hello and welcome everyone...over the past10 years I have set up
over 2000 men and women of all ages with the portable gym. And for
under 100.00. You will need 3 things...1) stretch band that fits your
strength. 2) Exercise ball, at least 75cm. 3) Balance board or dome
or wobble board. Balance comes from the inner ear and nerve endings in our feet. Create your own exercises. You can get over 60. Build around plyometrics and isometrics. And add a soccer ball
or tennis ball and either standing or sitting rotate the ball first one
foot and then the other. About 5 min. each foot. This is a "full body" workout for one hour. I am going to close with mental part of working out and competing. Pro athletes now hiring "mental coaches." Not entirely new...just more and better. Self confidence.
A great asset! Be pro active. Manage the self confidence killers.
Symptoms of losing self confidence...indecisiveness, never finish
what you start, always tired and loss of focus to name a few. www.secondwindfitnessfilm.com

Core/Balance
Welcome everyone...thank for all the comments re previous blogs.
Reminder...stress is the culprit of most health issues. Several years
ago (14) I designed a fitness program called Balance Your Life.
Any one, any age (6-106) have attended this class. Over three
thousand. It is my experience that balance is the core in fitness.
The nerve endings in our feet and the inner ear provides most of our balance. Check out Reflexology and a certified reflexologist,
you will be glad you did. 2.4 million people over age 65 in 2012
ended in ER...50% increase over a decade. All told 2002-2012 more than 200,000 Americans died from falls. I don't have results
from other countries. Some of you might be thinking, "I'm not 65
yet." Well, look at all injuries in ALL sports...injuries from awkward falls, changing direction, pivot, jumping and landing.
Sports and non sports injuries are mounting at an increasing rate hour by hour. Rehab is not fun. Over the next three months I will be researching injuries and will provide you with results.
Have a meaning life everyone...Jimmy O
