GOING BEYOND
Welcome everyone...there comes a time in everyone's life that he or she feels the urge to "breakout" from the routine, to go beyond. It's great to have goals however, the same goal day after day, month after month spawns boredom and the goals become a ceiling You become your worst enemy. Every 8 weeks I "break my ceiling" and my thinking...No Limits. Breakout Week...take 5/7 of your toughest drills and write down your best to date in each drill. Now write down where you want to be in each drill. Your two hour workout begins. Each drill you beat, drop that drill(s) and replace with other drills. The two workout does not include warm up or cool down. The "breakout" week goes for six days. You will experience a degree of muscle/brain confusion. You will also experience "peak performance" never before dreamed of. First to the Finish Line where Winners and Survivors always meet. Reference...www.secondwindfitnessfilm.com

Cross Training
Welcome everyone...the previous two blogs were entitled Survivor
Challenge. Cross training is a vital cog in my overall conditioning program. Water aerobics, boxing, taekwondo, basketball, racquetball, tennis, pickleball and soccer. I include the above for
the mental aspect as well as physical. This program prevents me
from being stagnant. Muscle confusion. My goals are always in an
upward movement. Remember when setting goals and you meet
those goals, don't stop there and become complacent. When you
stop there, you are installing "a ceiling." Ceilings stop your
progress. You are writing your failure. When you accept failure, you will get there. When you accept success, you will be there.

Mt Everest
Hello and welcome everyone! Are you progressing in your fitness/training program? When I ask that question I hear "I don't really know." or "I have leveled off." "I did at first." We should ask ourselves this fundamental question..."are my workouts/training progressive"? Some of us still believe that if our training gets easier, then we must be getting better...progressing. That's leveling off. That's creating a ceiling...capping. Design your workouts/training to be progressive...always challenging yourself. Incorporate your own Mt. Everest in your training.
