FUN + EXERCISE= RX FOR SENIORS

HELLO AND WELCOME EVERYONE! It's great to be back...look forward to Sunday and writing my blog. You, the reader deserve all the credit for my blog. I am thankful for your following the weekly blogs and for your comments. Over the past year the most popular blog was "Senior women show class in fitness." The most popular Senior exercise, nationwide..."BALANCE." So, the RX factor for Seniors from my perspective...consider a fitness program as a receipe. A receipe for a richer lifestyle! The ingredients: a well thoughtout self directed program or a class, a top notch trainer or facititator, being consistent and being true to yourself. The last ingredient...the spice, FUN! Fun is the intangible, there is no script for fun.
And unless you have a comedian for a teacher, the class brings the fun. Let the class have fun.
Spontaneity is a great gift and in one of my classes, most of them own that gift...especially the "sister act." The two sisters have their own show and everyone loves them. The last spice to add
is love and respect. The women in the "balance" class love the exercises (and have their weekly
success stories) but it's the FUN that they have. Exercise for them has become "a social event."
These women are living proof of feeling, acting and looking young. They let the "little kid"
come out and play. Just living the dream! How is that for an RX?!
