What is... IT!?

Hello and welcome everyone! Welcome to the world of sports, fitness and a healthy lifestyle!
The Winter Olympics going on right now brings to light "how ready" these athletes are. Interviews of the athletes, coaches and trainers focuses on training and the preparation it takes
to get on this "world stage." Once on this stage...winning the gold, silver or bronze is measured
by 100ths of a second. I am convinced it's the mental fitness (toughness) that separates the
winners and losers...from my own experience and hearing what the athletes have to say. Case
in point...LINDSEY VONN. She has had a history of injuries and still persists...she will not
allow injuries to get in her way. How hard she trains is always the talking point...and she uses
men's skies not women's. Watch for more women to follow suit in the next Winter Olympics.
Mental fitness (toughness) is not exercised only when we are training, (getting fit), but in our
everyday living. We either have it or we don't. We develope and practice mental fitness. It
becomes a way of life.
