The Brain

Hello and welcome everyone! As promised..."Balance Your Life" news update. This fitness program
is in it's third year. Over 400 will participate from now until April 1st. Designed for any age, but this program is specific for age 50 and over. Over the past ten years or so, "smart people" were
stating that we lose our functional balance by aging. I never bought into that theory. Aging may be the cause of about 10% of functional balance...the MAJOR loss comes from a lack of movement
which is caused from a lack of brain exercise. When the brain stops sending signals to a particular
muscle group, the brain becomes lazy (soft), and the muscles become a mush.
This year I introduced "brain exercises." Games involving reflex and reaction causing the brain to be stimulated (active) and sending a "call to action" within a particular muscle group. These exercises are the same as I use to develop brain alertness and fast twitch muscle reaction. Just
this alone will help prevent falls...not just to prevent broken bones brain damage...concussion. NO,
it is never to late to start. Today, would be a good day to start!
