Welcome everyone...man and woman want to know their limitations...at least most of us. That goes for the casual workout person to the competitor workout person. Designing your own "limitation" workout is one thing...having a stress test by a professional is quite another. Search for someone in the medical field or college/university. What ever our workout purpose is, our health is paramount...and peace of mind. Peak Performance is a worthy goal. We can age...but we don't have to get old. Getting old is a human phase. Aging is a choice. Your mental intelligence is your guide. We get advice from various sources...what is your internal choice? There is no "dress rehearsal" in life. Make it count.
Every human counts. www.secondwindfitnessfilm.com

PLYO!
Welcome everyone...my workouts since 2003 for 10 months of the year are 2 hours long...the other 2 months for 1 hour long. In addition from 10/07 to 5/15 I conducted 15 fitness classes each week, w/3 devoted to men and women physically/mentally challenged. So, I have lived what I "preach." I owe a lot to plyometrics. I gained speed, balance, endurance, mental alertness.
When one gains the next level of alertness, you climb to the next level in every facet of skill needed to accomplish your goals. You reach Peak Performance! That's human nature. In my tutoring, I tell my clients not to worry about weight lifting so much. Muscle will come soon enough...Unless that's all you want. Careful about being
muscle bound. That will restrict all your other activities. Give Plyo a chance for 30 days, 3x a week and then feel the results.

EVENT Training///6th in series of 13
Welcome back everyone...event training is and should be different than the off season. Whether your event is once a year, once a month or more...spacing and timing is crucial. What time a day is your event(s). Gear your training to that time. Reaching your peak
mentally and physically at the event is a must. Write down your drills with proper spacing and stick to it. Don't keep adding stuff. Don't over train. All your Grunt Work should have been done before your event training. Let's assume your event training begins 3/4 weeks before the event. Double your warm up and cool down time. Add 1/3 liquid intake. Keep your diet the same. The mental: picture in your mind what you are going to do and how you are going to do it...act as though you were already there.

Design/Action/Results
Welcome everyone...Design/Action/Results
Professional approach to enduring Peak Performance. Governing your body and results expected is a business. Type your plan. A.
Results expected, listed first. B. Blood test for athletes. C. Nutritionist and show results of your blood tests. D. Reflexologist with one visit a week. E. Design High Impact drills. Plyo, sprints, stairs and jump rope. Non stop starting with 10 min. 3x a week. Increase to 20 min. and then 30 min. over 4 week period. F. supplements...stay away. My science dept. has researched "tons" of supps...bogus. I take coconut oil and water, grapefruit seed extract, organic, raw-unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Vitamin B12 liquid w/ B complex. When ever I ask athletes if supps. help...reply, "I don't know." Your body will adjust to the above within 2/3 weeks. You will feel the difference and see results. You asked for it, now you have it. Have a meaningful life every one.

Belly Buster
Hello everyone and welcome...one last drill for hard abs. Lie flat on
the floor, legs straight, arms up overhead and hands holding a 12
pound weight (or greater). Now, keeping weight overhead, above
forehead, sit up. If you move your hands downward as you come
up. you are doing it wrong. Do five sets 10 times each. Keeping
the weight over forehead, arms outstretched is key. Attaining rock
hard abs...each drill is based on tightening stomach muscles. So, this drill and the drills posted in last week's blog will put you on
track for rock hard abs. Your hard core will help you reach a higher
level competing and working out. Over the past month we have
covered the importance of meditation, proper breathing, attaining
proper balance and developing your core. These drills will help in
ridding stress...the silent killer. Next week...foods that help reach
peak performance.

Peak Performance
Hello and welcome everyone and Happy Easter...Russell Simmons
has authored a new book, "Selfness," a must read. Meditation is
the latest gain momentum in the world of "becoming." Five minutes a day, at least will produce great rewards. Most of us search for that Edge in our training and competing...at any level.
All of us try to reach the peak of our Mt. Everest. Most of us has
what it takes...it exists within...it's up to each of us to tap it.

Stick It
Hello and welcome everyone...over the years, every once in awhile
I elect to take a side road to think, observe and gain perspective in
life. So, I'll share what I saw this past week. Watching one of my
fitness class of women participants I noted once again that applying
games, sport and fun, the women achieved a higher level of fitness.
When training and getting in shape becomes FUN, we perform better, longer and are more focused. Also the confidence level is
much higher. You can have structure and still have fun. Also, women have taught me, there must be a social element...a connection. I never disrupt a minute or two for socializing. I call that the "refresher." Another observation...men waste more time than women. Most consider the gym the "pain ctr." Watch men on
a tread mill...not pretty. People going into surgery have the same look. I also observed that both men and women did not illustrate
a "peak " during their routine. I call that the "STICK IT" time
frame. I then visited another one of my fitness classes for people
with disabilities. I observed people having fun while getting into
shape. I am always motivated by people with less doing more and
giving more. Each one of us possess three people inside...the child,
the adult and the parent. As we age we push aside the child within
us. We allow the adult and then the parent to take over our lives.
Bring the child back into your life.

Peak MOMENT
Hello and welcome everyone! It's in the air...I can sense it...I can feel it!
What ever your sport...your event, it is time to put your "game face on."
Mental fitness is paramount now. Train your brain and only then can you
train your musules to execute when you need a "peak moment." Through
this process you create and achieve the "psychological moment." The
time when you are most apt to peak in that command moment. When you can
visualize yourself winning long before the finish line, you are already
there. First to the finish line where winners and survivors always meet.
Have a meaningfull life everyone!
